The Danish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry (Lif) is a trade association for the researching pharmaceutical industry.

Lif works to ensure that the pharmaceutical industry has the best possible conditions to develop, market, distribute and provide information on medicinal products.

Lif’s 39 members include Danish as well as foreign companies. Lif works within all the links in the companies’ value chain: Ensuring better conditions for research and innovation, formulation of rules and legislation on regulatory conditions, productivity conditions and improved market access.

Lif works to ensure that the pharmaceutical industry has the best possible conditions to develop, market, distribute and provide information on medicinal products.

Our mission

Lif’s mission is to work to ensure that the pharmaceutical industry has the best possible conditions to research, develop, market, distribute and provide information on medicinal products so as to ensure that patients have extensive, fast access and rapid access to the best medical treatment.

Our values

The value of pharmaceuticals for the Danish society should be visible and recognised in patient-centric health service. The pharmaceutical industry should be regarded as a responsble partner that makes a valuable contribution to the community.

A Sound Business: The foundation for the industry’s existence is a sound financial and commercial basis. Results generate earnings, growth, higher employment, more exports – and hence the prerequisites for the development of new medicines.

Research and Development: Research is core to the pharmaceutical industry – the ability to constantly improve existing medicines and develop new therapies that benefit the treatment of patients.

Responsibility: Through responsible collaboration with third parties Lif creates sound frameworks for the continuing education of doctors, research into new and improved therapies, information about medicines and medicine prices in Denmark.
